2026 Peugeot XP 400 Allure

French crossover: the adventure scooter with Brembo four-piston calipers and 17-inch front wheel

Price: €7,599

The XP 400 Allure is Peugeot’s answer to the Honda X-ADV: a maxi scooter with adventure styling, produced in France. The 399 cc single-cylinder from the Metropolis is among the strongest engines in its class. USD fork, Brembo four-piston calipers on 295 mm dual front discs, a 17-inch front wheel with knobby tires, and a 5-inch TFT display with navigation set clear priorities.

There is no step-through, the knee angle is tight, and the firm suspension setup requires adjustment. At 231 kg, the XP 400 is not lightweight, and the 815 mm seat height excludes shorter riders. The Allure version differs from the more expensive GT through a black fork, cast wheels, and an adjustable clear windscreen — making it the more practical choice for road-focused riders.

The Honda X-ADV 750 operates in a different performance class, while the Yamaha XMAX 300 does without adventure styling. The closest competitor is the Aprilia SR GT 400, which is positioned more sportily and does not follow the off-road concept. Riders specifically looking for the French crossover approach will find no alternative to the XP 400 Allure.
