2026 Indian Chieftain PowerPlus Dark Horse

The Chieftain PowerPlus Dark Horse introduces the liquid-cooled PowerPlus engine into the Chieftain lineup. It features a frame-mounted fairing, USD fork, radial Brembo brakes, and modern electronics including cruise control, riding modes, and a Ride Command system.

Direct competitors include the Harley-Davidson Road Glide, BMW R 18 B, and Indian Challenger Dark Horse 112. The Harley remains more traditional, the BMW less performance-oriented, and the Challenger more modern but less classic.

Within the Indian lineup, it bridges the gap between classic Thunderstroke baggers and the more performance-oriented Challenger models.
